The Grossglockner High Alpine Road

The Grossglockner High Alpine Road has been an incomparable experience for about fifty million visitors since 1935. The most famous of all alpine roads ends before the highlight of the Hohe Tauern National Park: the highest mountain and the largest glacier in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798m) and the Pasterze.

On the way there you will experience a 4,000km journey to the Arctic. On the ascent from 1,500m to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, you pass through all of the vegetation zones from the cornfields to the eternal ice.

Experience Inclusive

With a valid ticket you have free admission to all exhibitions and sightseeing attractions along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
